In 2022, the ownership structure of Patagonia underwent a significant change; Yvon Chouinard and his family transferred their entire ownership interest to the Patagonia Purpose Trust and the Holdfast Collective to ensure all profits not reinvested in the business are used to fight the climate crisis. While headquartered in Ventura, California, Patagonia products are manufactured in various countries including Vietnam, Bangladesh, and China, with a high emphasis on Fair Trade Certified factories.
