Hacendado Ice Cream

This product is an ice cream manufactured for Mercadona's private label, Hacendado. According to the packaging details, it is produced by A.I.A.D.H.E.S.A. (Asociación de Industriales Alicantinos del Helado y Derivados S.A.), which is the corporate entity behind the famous 'Helados Alacant' group.

Founded in 1972 by a cooperative of 35 traditional artisan ice cream makers in San Vicente del Raspeig (Alicante), the company was established to compete with international multinationals entering the Spanish market. In 1994, the group became a 'totaler' supplier for Mercadona, a partnership that propelled its growth into one of the largest ice cream manufacturers in Spain. Today, the brand and manufacturing operations are managed by Grupo Alacant, which remains owned by a collective of Spanish shareholders and professional investors.
