Originally established as a small herb merchant shop in Copenhagen in 1972 by Lisbeth Damsgaard and Ronnie McGrail, Urtekram grew into Scandinavia's largest organic wholesaler. In 2015, the brand was acquired by Midsona AB, a leading Nordic health and wellness group based in Sweden. Under Midsona's ownership, Urtekram has expanded its international footprint while maintaining its core focus on COSMOS Organic certified ingredients and plant-based formulas.
