ASUS, officially ASUSTeK Computer Inc., is a global giant in the electronics industry with a legacy that began in Taiwan. Originally founded by four hardware engineers who had previously worked at Acer, the company quickly established itself as a premier motherboard manufacturer before expanding into laptops, monitors, and networking equipment.

Today, ASUS is headquartered in the Beitou District of Taipei, Taiwan. While the research, development, and high-end design originate from its Taiwanese headquarters, the bulk of its mass-market manufacturing is concentrated in various facilities throughout China. The brand is well-known for its ZenBook, VivoBook, and ROG (Republic of Gamers) series, maintaining its status as an independent, publicly traded entity without an external ultimate parent company.
