Nestlé KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter

KitKat is one of the world's most iconic chocolate brands, originally created by Rowntree's of York, United Kingdom, in 1935 as 'Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp'. The product was later renamed Kit Kat in 1937. The 'Chunky' variant, which features a single thick wafer bar rather than the traditional four-finger format, was introduced in 1999 to cater to changing consumer preferences for more substantial snacks.

Today, KitKat is produced globally in numerous factories to meet local demand. While the brand remains synonymous with British confectionery heritage, the manufacturing for European markets often takes place in countries like the United Kingdom, Bulgaria, and Germany. In the United States, the brand is unique because it is produced under license by The Hershey Company, while in the rest of the world, it is owned and managed by Nestlé.

Following Nestlé's acquisition of Rowntree's in 1988, the Swiss multinational has expanded the KitKat portfolio into hundreds of creative flavors, particularly in markets like Japan. The Peanut Butter Chunky version shown here combines the classic wafer with a creamy peanut butter layer, encased in milk chocolate, reflecting the brand's continuous innovation in the global snack market.
