LU Digestive biscuits

LU (Lefèvre-Utile) is a world-renowned biscuit brand that originated in Nantes, France, in 1846 by Jean-Romain Lefèvre and Pauline-Isabelle Utile. The brand became famous for its high-quality butter biscuits and innovative packaging. Over the decades, it grew into one of the most recognizable snack brands in Europe.

While originally a family-owned French company, the brand underwent several ownership changes, eventually being acquired by Danone and later sold to the American conglomerate Kraft Foods. In 2012, Kraft Foods split into two companies, and the snack division—including LU—became part of Mondelēz International.

Today, LU Digestive biscuits are produced in various European manufacturing facilities managed by Mondelēz, with major production hubs in Belgium and France to serve the Nordic and European markets. The product remains a staple in the confectionery and snack category globally.
