Fjällräven is an iconic Swedish outdoor brand founded in 1960 by Åke Nordin in Örnsköldsvik. The brand is best known for its durable outdoor equipment, specifically its G-1000 fabric and Kånken backpacks. The G-1000 material, as seen in the image instructions, is a tightly woven blend of polyester and cotton that gains its weather-resistant properties from the application of Greenland Wax, a mixture of paraffin and beeswax.

While the company maintains its spiritual home and design headquarters in Sweden, the ultimate owner, Fenix Outdoor, is headquartered in Switzerland.
