Westmalle Extra beer

Westmalle Extra is a light, top-fermented Trappist beer brewed by the monks of the Abbey of Our Lady of the Holy Heart of Westmalle. Originally, this specific variety was brewed exclusively for the monks' private consumption during their meals, and it was only recently made available for commercial distribution.

True to the Trappist tradition, the beer is brewed within the walls of the monastery in Malle, Belgium. The brand is owned and operated by the monastery itself, ensuring that the majority of profits are used for the community's support and charitable works. It remains one of the world's few authentic Trappist breweries and is recognized by the International Trappist Association (ITA).
