KitKat is one of the world's most recognized chocolate brands, famously known for its 'Have a Break' slogan. The product shown features bilingual packaging (English and French), which is characteristic of the Canadian market where KitKat is manufactured locally at the Nestlé plant in Toronto. The snack consists of crisp wafer layers covered in smooth milk chocolate.

Originally invented by Rowntree's in York, United Kingdom, in 1935, the brand was initially launched as 'Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp' before being renamed 'Kit Kat' two years later. In 1988, Rowntree's was acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestlé, which now holds global ownership and licensing for the brand (with the notable exception of the United States, where it is licensed to Hershey).

Today, KitKat is produced in numerous factories worldwide to meet local demand, including major hubs in the UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Its ultimate owner, Nestlé S.A., remains headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, and continues to manage the brand's global expansion and innovation into various flavors and formats.
