Nestlé KitKat Salted Caramel Bar

KitKat is a chocolate-covered wafer bar confection created by Rowntree's of York, United Kingdom, and is now produced globally by Nestlé, which acquired Rowntree's in 1988.

Today, KitKat is manufactured in dozens of countries worldwide, including major facilities in the UK, Bulgaria (which serves much of Europe), Germany, and Australia. The specific bar shown features multilingual labeling typical of European distribution.

While Nestlé owns the brand worldwide, it is important to note that in the United States, KitKat is produced under license by The Hershey Company due to a prior licensing agreement that predates Nestlé's acquisition of Rowntree's. In all other territories, Nestlé S.A. remains the ultimate owner and distributor.
