Pickwick is a renowned Dutch tea brand with a heritage dating back to 1753 when Douwe Egberts founded the company. The brand name 'Pickwick' was introduced in 1937, inspired by Charles Dickens' 'The Pickwick Papers.' Initially a local Dutch brand under the Douwe Egberts umbrella, it has grown into an international name recognized for its wide assortment of fruit-flavored teas, herbal infusions, and classic black and green teas.
Today, Pickwick is part of the portfolio of JDE Peet's, one of the largest coffee and tea companies in the world. While the raw tea leaves are sourced from various tea-producing regions globally (such as China, India, and Sri Lanka to ensure quality and flavor profiles), the processing, blending, and packaging are primarily centered in the Netherlands. JDE Peet's, headquartered in Amsterdam, continues to oversee the brand's production and distribution across Europe and beyond.
