Estrella's Jordnötsringar (peanut rings) are a classic Swedish snack known for their distinct ring shape and rich peanut butter flavor. The Estrella brand was founded in Sweden in 1946 by Folke Andersson, who was inspired by the snack culture in South America. The production of snacks like these peanut rings primarily takes place in Estrella's factory located in Angered, just outside of Gothenburg, Sweden.
Today, Estrella is a prominent household name in the Nordic snack market. Since 2014, the brand has been part of Intersnack Group, a major European snack food manufacturer based in Germany. Despite the international ownership, Estrella maintains its strong Swedish identity and continues to manufacture the vast majority of its products within Sweden for the local and regional markets.
