Nestlé KitKat 2 Finger Original

KitKat is a world-renowned chocolate-covered wafer bar that first originated in the United Kingdom. It was created by Rowntree's of York in 1935 as 'Rowntree's Chocolate Crisp' before being renamed to Kit Kat Chocolate Crisp in 1937. The brand has since become one of the most iconic confectionery products globally, famous for its 'Have a break, have a KitKat' slogan.

In 1988, the Swiss multinational Nestlé acquired Rowntree's, bringing KitKat under its global portfolio. Today, Nestlé owns and produces KitKat in most parts of the world, including Europe, Asia, and Oceania. However, in the United States, the brand is produced under license by the H.B. Reese Candy Company, a division of The Hershey Company, due to a long-standing licensing agreement that predates the Nestlé acquisition.

Manufacturing takes place in various locations to serve different regional markets. Key production hubs include York in the United Kingdom, as well as facilities in Australia, Canada, China, Japan, and several European countries.
