Aquafresh is a global oral care brand that was originally launched in 1973 by the British company Beecham (which later became part of SmithKline Beecham). The brand is iconic for its 'triple protection' mission, symbolized by the red, white, and blue striped paste, representing healthy gums, strong teeth, and fresh breath.
Historically, the brand was owned by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). However, in July 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into an independent company called Haleon plc. Consequently, as of 2026, Aquafresh is owned and managed by Haleon. While the brand originated in the United Kingdom, its products are manufactured in various locations worldwide, including Germany and Slovakia, to serve different regional markets.
