While the brand has deep Swedish roots and continues to manufacture its products at its factory in Angered, Gothenburg, its ownership has transitioned over the decades through various multinational corporations including Kraft Foods. Since 2014, Estrella has been owned by the German Intersnack Group. Today, it remains a household name in Sweden, primarily sourcing its potatoes from local Swedish farmers to maintain the flavor profile that has defined the brand for over 75 years.
