Persil Megaperls

Persil Megaperls is a concentrated heavy-duty laundry detergent produced by the German giant Henkel. The brand Persil was first introduced in 1907 as the world's first self-acting detergent, a name derived from its original chemical components: perborate and silicate.

Today, the brand is managed under two different corporate umbrellas. While Henkel owns and produces Persil for the European, African, and Middle Eastern markets, Unilever holds the rights to the brand in the UK, Ireland, France, Latin America, and Oceania. The Megaperls format is a specialized highly concentrated solid detergent pearl technology primarily associated with Henkel's European production line. Henkel remains the ultimate owner for the majority of global markets and continues to lead research and development for the brand from its headquarters in Düsseldorf.
