General Snus Portion

General Snus is one of the most iconic and established brands in the tobacco industry, specifically within the smokeless tobacco category known as snus. The brand was originally created by Johan A. Boman in 1866 in Sweden, after he spent years attempting to develop the perfect tobacco blend consisting of 22 different tobaccos and a drop of bergamot oil.

Today, the brand is manufactured by Swedish Match, a Swedish multi-national company that dominates the snus market. For most of its history, Swedish Match operated as an independent entity, but in late 2022, it was acquired by Philip Morris International. This acquisition brought the historic Swedish brand under the umbrella of one of the world's largest tobacco conglomerates, though production remains primarily centered in Sweden to maintain the authentic quality of the original recipe.
