Red Bull Zero Calories

Red Bull is one of the world's most recognizable energy drink brands, originally inspired by a Thai functional drink called Krating Daeng. It was adapted for Western tastes and launched in Austria in 1987 by Dietrich Mateschitz in partnership with the Yoovidhya family. The 'Zero' variety shown here provides the signature energy blend without calories.

Production is highly centralized to maintain quality standards. The majority of the global supply is canned in Austria and Switzerland, utilizing local alpine water sources. However, as a global brand, bottling and distribution can occur through various regional facilities to meet international demand.

Ownership of the brand remains private. It is held by Red Bull GmbH, based in Fuschl am See, Austria. Following the passing of co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz in 2022, ownership and management transitioned into a structure involving his heirs and the Thai founding family, ensuring the brand remains an independent powerhouse in the beverage industry.
