Trident sugar-free gum

Trident is a globally recognized brand of sugar-free chewing gum that revolutionized the confectionery industry by being the first national brand to offer a sugarless alternative to traditional gum. Launched in the early 1960s, it was originally developed to promote dental health, often marketed as the gum that 'four out of five dentists recommended.'

Today, the brand is owned by Mondelēz International, a major American multinational confectionery, food, and beverage conglomerate. While Trident was originally a product of the American Chicle Company (later part of Warner-Lambert and then Pfizer), its ownership transitioned through Cadbury before being acquired by Mondelēz. Manufacturing occurs at various global facilities to serve regional markets, with high-volume production centers located in the United States and Mexico.
