Jordan toothpicks

Jordan is a storied Scandinavian oral care brand with a legacy dating back to 1837. While the brand was founded by a Danish immigrant, Wilhelm Jordan, it established its primary industrial roots in Oslo, Norway. Initially a manufacturer of combs, the company transitioned into brush-making and eventually pioneered the production of dental hygiene tools.

Today, Jordan is renowned for its dental sticks (toothpicks) which are specifically manufactured in Flisa, Norway, using Nordic birch wood. This location has remained a core production hub for the brand's wooden dental products even as other manufacturing lines shifted internationally. The toothpicks are distinct for their triangular shape, designed to follow the natural contours of interdental spaces.

In 2012, the Jordan brand was acquired by the Orkla Group, a leading Norwegian industrial conglomerate. This acquisition integrated Jordan into Orkla's vast portfolio of branded consumer goods, ensuring its continued presence as a market leader in the Nordic region and its expansion across Europe and Asia.
