Hacendado food products

Hacendado is the flagship private-label brand of Mercadona, Spain's leading supermarket chain. Launched in 1996, the brand has become a household name by offering high-quality food products at competitive prices, a strategy Mercadona calls 'Always Low Prices' (SPB).

While Mercadona owns the Hacendado brand, it does not manufacture the products itself. Instead, it partners with a vast network of 'integrated suppliers'—specialized companies that produce exclusively or primarily for the brand. Over 85% of Hacendado's selection is of Spanish origin, with prominent manufacturers including Casa Tarradellas (pizzas and cold meats), Entrepinares (cheeses), and Helados Estiu (ice cream). The brand's success is rooted in this collaborative supply chain model, which prioritizes local production and quality control while maintaining a strong family-owned leadership under Juan Roig.
