De Ruijter Anijsstaafjes

De Ruijter is a historic Dutch brand established in 1860 by Cornelis Willem de Ruijter in Baarn, Netherlands. The brand is a cornerstone of Dutch breakfast culture, famously known for its sprinkles (hagelslag) and other bread toppings. These Anijsstaafjes (anise sticks) are a classic product used to make traditional Dutch anise milk, a comforting warm beverage often enjoyed in the winter months.

While the brand maintains its deep Dutch heritage and production roots in the Netherlands, it has undergone several ownership changes over the decades. It was formerly part of the CSM group and later the H.J. Heinz Company. Today, De Ruijter is owned by The Kraft Heinz Company, an American multinational food conglomerate. Despite being owned by a US-based entity, the manufacturing and brand identity remain predominantly localized to the Dutch market where it holds a prestigious 'Royal' (Koninklijke) warrant.
