LEGO Icons building set

The name 'LEGO' is derived from the Danish phrase 'leg godt', which translates to 'play well'. Initially a small carpenter's workshop, the company evolved from making wooden toys to the iconic interlocking plastic bricks that are recognized globally today.

KIRKBI is the private holding and investment company of the Kirk Kristiansen family, ensuring that the brand maintains its original vision and commitment to quality and play-based learning into 2026 and the future.
