Kinder Riegel is one of the most recognizable products under the Kinder brand umbrella. Developed by the Italian company Ferrero, the brand was initially conceptualized in Alba, Piedmont, by Michele Ferrero. While the brand has its heart in Italy, Kinder Riegel (the 'bar' format) specifically found immense success and significant production history within Germany, often being associated with German snacking culture. It consists of a distinctive fine milk chocolate shell with a milky cream filling.
Today, the product is manufactured in several large Ferrero production facilities across Europe, including major sites in Germany (Stadtallendorf), Italy, and Poland to meet global demand. Despite its international manufacturing footprint, the brand remains strictly a family-owned asset of the Ferrero Group. The Ferrero family continues to oversee the company, maintaining its status as one of the world's largest chocolate and confectionery organizations.
