While the brand originated in the Swedish town of Skellefteå, its primary production facilities are now located in Filipstad, Sweden, and Celle, Germany. In 1999, the brand was acquired by the Italian food giant Barilla, which has expanded the brand's reach globally while maintaining its Swedish heritage and production standards.
