Rummo is a historic Italian pasta manufacturer founded in 1846 by Antonio Rummo in Benevento, Italy. The brand is renowned globally for its 'Lenta Lavorazione' (Slow Processing) method, which focuses on slow mixing and high-quality durum wheat to ensure excellent cooking performance and 'al dente' texture.
Manufacturing remains primarily concentrated in Italy at their facility in Benevento. While the Rummo family maintains significant involvement in the company, a minority stake was recently acquired by the private equity firm L Catterton to support international expansion. However, the brand is still considered an icon of Italian food excellence, with its headquarters and main production base remaining firmly in the Campania region.
