Its popularity has made it a staple in pharmacies and retail stores for both adult and infant skincare, particularly for conditions like eczema.

Originally a part of the Musher Foundation, the brand was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 1999. In 2023, following a major corporate restructuring, Johnson & Johnson spun off its consumer health division into a new, independent publicly traded company named Kenvue. Consequently, Aveeno is now owned and managed by Kenvue, which is headquartered in the United States and holds a portfolio of leading consumer health brands.
