Pickwick is a renowned tea brand with deep roots in the Netherlands, dating back to 1753 when Douwe Egberts founded the company in Joure. Originally selling coffee, tea, and tobacco, the tea line was rebranded as 'Pickwick' in 1937, inspired by Charles Dickens' 'The Pickwick Papers'.

Today, the brand is owned by JDE Peet's, a global coffee and tea powerhouse headquartered in Amsterdam. While the brand is quintessentially Dutch in origin, their tea leaves are sourced from various plantations worldwide (primarily in Asia and Africa) and blended in specialized facilities to maintain flavor consistency across their global markets.
