Wasa Milch & Joghurt crispbread

Wasa is an iconic brand synonymous with crispbread, originally founded in Skellefteå, Sweden, in 1919 by Karl Edvard Lundström under the name AB Skellefteå Spisbrödsfabrik. The brand has grown to become the world's largest producer of crispbread, known for its focus on healthy, whole-grain snacks.

While the brand has Swedish roots, its manufacturing is now distributed across Europe. The Milch & Joghurt variety shown in the image is typically produced at Wasa's large-scale bakery in Celle, Germany, which serves the Central European market. In 1999, the brand was acquired by the Italian Barilla Group. Under Barilla's ownership, Wasa has expanded its international presence while maintaining its commitment to sustainability, claiming to be one of the first food brands to achieve CO2 neutrality throughout its entire supply chain and production process.
