Wasa is an iconic brand of crispbread originally founded in Skellefteå, Sweden, in 1919 by Karl Edvard Lundström. Over the century, it has become one of the world's most recognized names in the bakery and snack sector, known for its high-fiber whole grain rye products.

While the brand maintains deep roots in Swedish tradition, its production is split across Europe, with major manufacturing facilities in Celle, Germany, and Filipstad, Sweden. Since 1999, the brand has been under the ownership of the Barilla Group, a family-owned multinational food company headquartered in Italy. Wasa has notably achieved CO2 neutrality, as the company offsets its carbon footprint through various environmental projects.
