Red Bull Zero is a sugar-free variant of the world-renowned energy drink, designed to provide the same functional benefits as the original without the sugar. The brand's journey began in the mid-1980s when Dietrich Mateschitz, inspired by functional drinks in East Asia, founded Red Bull in Austria. He developed the unique formula and a distinctive marketing concept, launching the product in 1987.

Today, Red Bull is a global powerhouse staying true to its Austrian roots while operating in over 170 countries. While development and brand strategy remain centered in Fuschl am See, Austria, the manufacturing process is distributed across several strategic global locations to meet international demand efficiently. The company remains privately held, with ownership split between the Mateschitz family and the Yoovidhya family of Thailand, who originally created the base tonic 'Krating Daeng'.
