Freeway Orange Soda

Freeway is a private-label brand of beverages sold exclusively by the German global discount supermarket chain, Lidl. The brand is best known for its affordable alternatives to major soft drink brands, offering a variety of flavors including orange, cola, and lemon-lime.

Because Freeway is a store brand, it does not have a single factory. Instead, production is decentralized across various European countries to minimize logistics costs and carbon footprint. Typically, Freeway products sold in Western Europe are manufactured by large contract bottling companies like Mitteldeutsche Erfrischungsgetränke (MEG) or local subsidiaries of Lidl's parent company, the Schwarz Group. Ownership remains strictly under the Schwarz Group, which handles both the retail and much of the production supply chain for its private labels.
