Estrella Sourcream & Onion

Estrella is one of the most iconic snack brands in Scandinavia, particularly famous in Sweden where it was founded. The brand's journey began in 1946 when Folke Andersson, inspired by potato chips he encountered in New York, decided to introduce the snack to the Swedish market through his company, AB Estrella. Over the decades, it has become a household name known for its wide variety of flavored crisps and nut products.

Today, Estrella is part of a much larger corporate structure. After several ownership changes, including a period under Kraft Foods, the brand became part of the Intersnack Group. While it maintains its strong Swedish heritage and local manufacturing presence at its facility in Angered, Gothenburg, it is managed as part of a pan-European snack portfolio. The brand continues to dominate the Nordic market by combining traditional manufacturing methods with contemporary flavor innovations like the Sourcream & Onion variety shown here.
