Kinder Chocolate

Kinder is a globally recognized confectionery brand that originated in Alba, Italy, in 1968. It was created by Michele Ferrero, who aimed to develop a chocolate specifically for children, featuring a higher milk content and smaller portions. Although the word 'Kinder' is German for 'children', the brand is fundamentally Italian.

Today, Kinder is owned by the Ferrero Group, one of the largest chocolate and confectionery companies in the world. While its roots and headquarters are in Italy and Luxembourg, manufacturing is highly decentralized to serve global markets. Key production facilities are located in Italy, Germany (Stadtallendorf), and other parts of Europe. In recent years, Ferrero has expanded its manufacturing footprint to North America, including a dedicated facility for Kinder Bueno in the United States, alongside production sites in South America and Asia.
