Ägare:Thule Group AB (Sverige)
UrsprungAustralien
Tillverkad:Kina

Quad Lock was founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2011 by entrepreneurs Chris Peters and Rob Ward under their company Annex Products. The brand pioneered a patented dual-stage locking mount system, initially launched via a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign, designed to securely mount smartphones to bicycles, motorcycles, cars, and running gear.

Over the following decade, Quad Lock expanded internationally into one of the world's most popular active-lifestyle mounting solutions, establishing a significant presence across Europe and the United Kingdom. In 2020, Australian private equity firm Quadrant Private Equity acquired a majority stake in Annex Products to fuel rapid global scaling.

In November 2024, Swedish outdoor and transportation accessories company Thule Group acquired Quad Lock for AUD 500 million (approximately SEK 3.6 billion), integrating the brand into its global portfolio of active adventure and transport gear. Product engineering and design remain largely rooted in Australia, while high-volume manufacturing of cases, mounts, and electronic charging components is primarily conducted in China and distributed internationally, including across the UK market.
