The Indulekha brand was originally founded in Kerala, India, in 2009 by Mosons Extractions (Mosons Group). In 2016, the brand was acquired by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) to expand its footprint in the premium naturals and Ayurvedic personal care segment.

Today, the ultimate owner of the brand is Unilever PLC, the British multinational consumer goods company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. Indulekha hair oil products are manufactured in India and distributed internationally, including across the United Kingdom through specialty ethnic stores, online marketplaces, and health retailers.
