Jensens Bøfhus food products

Jensens Bøfhus is an iconic Danish family restaurant chain originally founded in 1990 by Palle Skov Jensen under the name Bøfhus España in Aarhus, Denmark, before rebranding to Jensens Bøfhus. The chain expanded significantly across Denmark, Sweden, and Germany.

In addition to its restaurant operations, Jensens Bøfhus developed a popular retail line of branded refrigerated and frozen grocery products sold in supermarkets across Denmark, including its classic barbecue spare ribs, whisky sauce, and marinades. These retail products are primarily manufactured and distributed by partner food producers in Denmark under brand licensing.

Following financial restructuring in 2018, majority ownership of the Jensens Bøfhus restaurant chain and brand transitioned to a group of Danish investors, with industrialist Torben Østergaard-Nielsen (via United Shipping & Trading Company / Selfinvest) becoming the principal owner alongside other Danish minority partners through Danske Familierestauranter A/S.
