Clever Home EV Charger

Clever is Denmark's leading electric vehicle (EV) charging operator and e-mobility service provider. Founded in 2009 by Danish cooperative utility companies (originally SEAS-NVE, NRGi, EnergiMidt, etc.), Clever supplies both public fast-charging infrastructure across Denmark and home charging solutions (Clever ladeboks) with subscription-based home charging services.

Clever does not manufacture all of its wallbox hardware entirely in-house; instead, it historically and currently partners with specialized European charging hardware manufacturers (such as Easee from Norway, ABB, and Alfen from the Netherlands) to produce Clever-branded and integrated hardware units, while providing proprietary software and energy management services.

Today, Clever is predominantly owned by the Danish cooperative energy group Andel A.m.b.a. (formerly SEAS-NVE), with NRGi also retaining a minority stake. As a result, Clever remains fundamentally Danish in origin, governance, and ultimate ownership.
