BEWI Insulation and Packaging Solutions

BEWI is an international provider of packaging, components, and insulation solutions, widely recognized for its expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS) products.

The company was originally founded in 1980 on the island of Frøya in Norway by Svenn Bekken, initially manufacturing fish boxes from EPS to serve the local aquaculture sector. Over the decades, BEWI expanded significantly throughout the Nordic region and across Europe through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Today, BEWI ASA is publicly listed on the Oslo Børs and headquartered in Trondheim, Norway, with the founding Bekken family remaining major shareholders through Bekken Invest AS. BEWI operates manufacturing facilities across Europe, including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
