Denza electric vehicle

Denza, officially known as Shenzhen Denza New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd., is a premium automotive brand specializing in high-end electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The brand was established in 2010 as a pioneering 50:50 joint venture between the Chinese giant BYD and the German automotive leader Mercedes-Benz Group (formerly Daimler AG).

Initially headquartered in Shenzhen, Denza was created to combine BYD's advanced battery technology with Mercedes-Benz's renowned luxury design and engineering standards. Over the years, the brand underwent a strategic restructuring. In 2022, BYD increased its stake to 90%, and by September 2024, Mercedes-Benz exited the joint venture entirely, making Denza a fully owned subsidiary of BYD. Today, Denza stands as a key player in the global luxury EV market, benefiting from BYD's extensive supply chain and manufacturing facilities located primarily in China.
