Port Charlotte Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Port Charlotte is a renowned brand of heavily peated Islay single malt Scotch whisky, produced at the Bruichladdich Distillery on the Isle of Islay. The brand is named after the village of Port Charlotte, located two miles south of the distillery, which was once home to the Lochindaal Distillery. Port Charlotte is celebrated for its commitment to traditional craftsmanship, using 100% Scottish barley and maturing the spirit entirely on Islay to capture the island's unique maritime character.

The Bruichladdich Distillery, which produces Port Charlotte, has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1881 by the Harvey brothers. After periods of closure and reopening, the distillery was revitalized in 2001 by a group of private investors led by Mark Reynier. Today, the brand is owned by the global spirits giant Rémy Cointreau. Under its current ownership, the distillery continues to operate as a 'B Corp' certified entity, emphasizing social and environmental responsibility while maintaining the heritage and artisanal quality of the Port Charlotte range.
