Michelina's is a well-known brand in the frozen food aisle, specializing in affordable, single-serve frozen entrées that range from Italian-style pasta dishes to traditional American comfort foods. The brand was established in 1990 by Michelina 'Mickie' Lucci and her son, Jeno Paulucci, who was a legendary entrepreneur in the frozen food industry and the founder of the Jeno's Pizza Rolls brand. The company was built on the foundation of providing convenient, high-quality meals inspired by family recipes.

Today, the brand operates under the corporate umbrella of Bellisio Foods. While the brand has deep Italian-American roots, its manufacturing is concentrated in Jackson, Ohio, where one of the largest frozen food production facilities in the United States is located. The brand also maintains a significant presence in the Canadian market with localized production facilities to serve North American consumers.

In terms of ultimate ownership, Bellisio Foods was acquired by the Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods) in late 2016. This acquisition integrated Michelina's into a global food supply chain, backed by one of the world's largest agribusiness and food companies headquartered in Bangkok. Despite this international ownership, Michelina's continues to be managed as a staple North American brand, focusing on the budget-friendly frozen meal segment.
