Hero is a historic Swiss brand founded in 1886 by Gustav Henckell and Gustav Zeiler in Lenzburg, Switzerland. The brand name itself was derived from the first two letters of the founders' surnames. Initially focused on fruit and vegetable processing, the company quickly became famous for its high-quality jams and preserves packaged in iconic tin cans.

Over more than a century, Hero has expanded into a global food company with a presence in many categories, most notably fruit spreads and healthy baby food.
