Hemmer Preserved Food

Hemmer is one of Brazil's most traditional food brands, founded in 1915 by Heinrich Hemmer in Blumenau, Santa Catarina. Originally focused on sauerkraut production, the company expanded its portfolio over more than a century to include a wide range of condiments, preserves, and sauces, becoming a household name in Brazilian culinary culture.

In 2021, a significant shift in ownership occurred when Kraft Heinz announced the acquisition of Hemmer. This move was part of Kraft Heinz's strategy to expand its international presence in the condiments and sauces market and to leverage Hemmer's extensive distribution network in South America. Today, while Hemmer maintains its historical manufacturing base in Blumenau, it operates as a key subsidiary of the global Kraft Heinz conglomerate.
