Marabou Frukt & Mandel chocolate

Marabou is an iconic Swedish chocolate brand established in 1916 by Norwegian chocolatier Johan Throne Holst, who also founded the Norwegian brand Freia. Since its inception, Marabou has become a staple of Swedish confectionery culture, known for its yellow packaging and smooth milk chocolate.

While the brand has deep Swedish roots and continues to produce most of its primary chocolate bars at a factory in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, the brand is no longer Swedish-owned. Marabou is currently owned by Mondelēz International, an American multinational confectionery company. The production process involves sourcing cocoa through the 'Cocoa Life' sustainability program, though some raw materials and specific product lines may be manufactured across different Mondelēz facilities in Europe.
