Don Papa MassKara rum

Don Papa Rum was founded in 2012 by Stephen Carroll, a former executive at Rémy Cointreau, through the Bleeding Heart Rum Company. The brand is inspired by the story of Papa Isio, a hero of the Philippine Revolution. Don Papa MassKara is a premium spiced rum infused with local ingredients like calamansi, honey, and siling labuyo (wild chili), celebrating the MassKara Festival in Bacolod.

The product is distilled, aged, and bottled exclusively in the Philippines on the island of Negros, known locally as Sugarlandia, using rich volcanic soil sugar cane. In early 2023, the global spirits giant Diageo acquired the brand in a major deal worth several hundred million euros, though the production remains rooted in its original Philippine location. This acquisition integrated Don Papa into one of the world's most powerful luxury spirits portfolios, ensuring global distribution and growth.
