Eridania is an iconic Italian brand with a legacy spanning over a century in the sugar and sweetener industry. Founded in 1899 in Genoa, the brand quickly became the leading sugar producer in Italy, known for its high-quality white and brown sugars. Throughout its history, it has undergone several ownership changes, reflecting the evolving landscape of the European agricultural sector.

Since 2016, Eridania has been fully owned by the French agro-industrial cooperative Cristal Union. This acquisition integrated Eridania into one of Europe's largest sugar producers, allowing the brand to leverage extensive agricultural resources while maintaining its strong Italian identity and market leadership. The brand continues to operate from its historic headquarters in Bologna, distributing a wide range of sweetening products including traditional sugar, cane sugar, and modern natural sweeteners.
