Berchtesgadener Land milk is a premium dairy product produced by the Milchwerke Berchtesgadener Land Chiemgau eG, a cooperative founded in 1927 in Piding, Germany. The brand is deeply rooted in the Alpine region between the Watzmann and Zugspitze mountains.

The production is strictly localized, using milk sourced from approximately 1,600 to 1,800 small-scale member farmers within the Alpine and mountain regions of Bavaria and Salzburg. These farmers are the collective owners of the cooperative, ensuring that the brand remains independent of large multinational food conglomerates. The cooperative is known for its focus on sustainability, animal welfare, and being a pioneer in organic dairy production in Germany, notably banning the use of glyphosate and GMO feeds long before industry standards were established.
