While the brand was originally owned by its founder's company, it was acquired by various multinational corporations over the decades, including Cadbury and Mondelēz. Since 2017, Poulain has been owned by CPK (Carambar & Co), a French holding company created after Eurazeo acquired several confectionery brands from Mondelēz. As of early 2024, Carambar & Co announced a strategic partnership and majority stake takeover by the French cooperative group Andros, ensuring the brand remains under French ownership and management for the coming years.
