Bruinsma's Limonadefabriek in Amsterdam, the brand gained widespread popularity for its range of soft drinks and syrups. Over the decades, the ownership of Raak has changed hands several times. In 1964, it was acquired by the multinational W.R. Grace & Co., and later, in 1977, it was sold to the British company Golden Wonder. Since 1998, Raak has been part of United Soft Drinks (USD), an independent family-owned company based in Utrecht. United Soft Drinks is currently one of the largest privately-held soft drink producers in the Benelux region, managing other prominent Dutch brands like Bar-le-Duc and AA Drink.
